Amanda's Experience at Morningside Music Academy

Can you describe your journey and experience working here so far?

My journey with Morningside has been a heartfelt experience. I really enjoyed getting to know both the students and their families. I noticed a positive difference with students feeling comfortable in their home environment, which seemed to contribute to their courage and growth in lessons.

In what ways does the company support your professional development and growth?

I appreciate how warm, professional, and caring the Morningside administrative staff are. I was always met with prompt communication from the team. I had some personal challenges that were accommodated, met with compassion, and helped me thrive in my role at Morningside. I sincerely appreciated that Morningside kept me on their team when I unexpectedly had to cut down on my studio size.

Can you share a memorable moment or experience that reflects the positive aspects of working here?

There were many memorable moments! I loved witnessing students grow, improve their technique, and gain confidence in their performance. I saw many moments where a technique concept clicked, and a student was able to perform a previous challenge with ease. Additionally, I got invited to watch some of my students perform in their school musicals, which was rewarding as I was with them through the whole journey, starting with audition preparation.

What do you appreciate most about the students you work with?

I appreciate how my students graciously welcomed me into their homes, and shared with me moments and stories about their lives outside of music. As musicians, so much of ourselves is poured into our art, and the things we face in life directly affect that. I am honored that students were comfortable to share things with me, both joyful and difficult.
