Ariel Palermo

Ariel Palermo discovered her passion for the cello at the age of eight while growing up in a small town in Indiana. Although she was initially reluctant to practice, her dedication quickly grew, leading her to earn her first Gold Rating at Solo & Ensemble and become the lead cellist of her middle school orchestra. Inspired by a talented principal cellist in her high school orchestra, Ariel began private cello lessons, which helped shape her musical development. Throughout high school, she served as Principal Cellist of F.

J. Reitz High School Orchestra, earned three Gold Ratings at Solo & Ensemble, held Fourth Chair in both the Evansville Youth Philharmonic and Honors Orchestra, performed as the bassist for the Reitz Jazz Band, and was featured as the solo cellist in the 2017 Evansville Summer Musical. In addition to cello, Ariel is a vocalist with a passion for singing. She has been recognized as a mezzo-soprano by New York Vocal Coach Michael Warren and enjoys helping students develop confidence and healthy vocal technique.

As an instructor, Ariel has experience teaching both cello and voice, working with several private students. She teaches cello using the Suzuki Method, emphasizing strong fundamentals, musical expression, and a positive, encouraging learning environment. Ariel is passionate about helping students of all ages build confidence, develop their skills, and discover the joy of making music.
