Mackenzie Rolf is a passionate music educator and performer with 4 years of experience in providing high-quality music instruction. As a teacher, Mackenzie aims to foster a classroom and lesson environment where students can build their confidence, feel comfortable taking risks, making mistakes, and being curious. Mackenzie’s passion for music began early, inspired by learning piano alongside her mother. Teaching herself piano, vocals, guitar, and bass, she combined self-driven exploration with classical training. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Music from Western Oregon University, where she studied music education and vocal pedagogy. Mackenzie’s well-rounded musical foundation spans many genres, including classical, musical theater, jazz, rock, and pop. Mackenzie has performed with many local bands, including “Flares”, in the Salem and Portland area for 9 years. One of her most cherished accomplishments was traveling to Germany to perform Brahms' Requiem with a youth symphony orchestra and 400 choristers. Mackenzie has taught students from age 5-50+, and loves mentoring students in their musical journeys, wherever that may take them. Mackenzie specializes in nurturing students’ musical skills, and helping them grow in confidence and artistry. Overall, she aims to inspire a lifelong love of music and learning in her students.
